When you sign up for the Ephemera beta, we collect:
We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, or browser fingerprinting, and we never sell your data. For product improvement and reliability we use privacy-friendly, aggregate tooling only:
This website stores small amounts of data in your browser's local storage to improve your experience. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers:
You can clear this data at any time through your browser's settings. The website will continue to work normally without it.
Some optional interactive features — such as the Dimensional “Conductor” mode — can use your webcam as an input, so your hand movements shape the music. This is strictly opt-in: the camera is off by default and only turns on after you explicitly enable it, and you can turn it off at any time (your browser also shows its own camera indicator while it is active).
All video is processed locally in your browser, in real time. We do not record, store, upload, or transmit any video, images, or hand-tracking data to our servers or to any third party, and we do not perform facial recognition or any identity detection.
The only related network activity is a one-time download of the open-source hand-tracking model and supporting code from public content-delivery networks (jsDelivr and Google), which — like any file download — receive your IP address to deliver the files.
Your email address is used to send you beta access invitations, product updates, and important announcements about Ephemera. Your signup moment (conditions at the time you signed up) is included in your confirmation email as a personal touch. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the functioning of the site (e.g., bot protection during signup).
We use the following third-party services to operate Ephemera:
These services process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies. No personal data is shared with these services beyond what is necessary for their function.
We retain your signup data for as long as you remain on the beta waitlist or as an active user. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. You may also unsubscribe from communications at any time using the link provided in our emails.
If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at hello@ephemera.fm.
