Timbre is a drum machine you can move through. Write a pattern, then paint a different one into each of the cube's eight corners. Sparse to dense, straight to broken, dry to dressed.

Where you sit in the cube is the mix. Pull toward one corner and that groove takes over; drift to the middle and all eight blend at once. Motion through the cube becomes the fills.

Brightness, attack, and feel aren't decoration. They're the axes. Every position in the cube is a different beat.
