    Place a sound

    Import your audio or use the sample browser. Place a sample in a grid cell, then build a pattern in Sequencer mode.

  2. 02

    Choose its moment

    Put a pad in the night, percussion in the rain, or a texture at the full moon. Each grid gives a condition its own musical layer.

  3. 03

    Play the changes

    Listen with live conditions or use overrides to explore another moment. Keep control of the composition while its layers change.

The condition engine

Arrange moments alongside notes.

A conventional timeline answers when a note happens in a piece. Ephemera also lets you choose the conditions in which a sound belongs. Independent grids let those layers meet in a single composition.
